Line

I found this image of these chairs made for B&B Italia on the Interior Design Magazine website under its blog for new products for the Neocon Show. I thought that these chairs kind of mirrored the simplicity of the line that we saw in the chairs from the ID presentation wednesday and that Martha showed in her powerpoint Friday designed by Le Cobusier and Mies Van Der Rohe. The structure of the line of the chair is simple but the segmented cushions I feel like add an extra sense of the depth to the line. The fairing of the curve in the cushions creates a whole new dimension continually across the chair. I think this adds a more beautiful quality to the chair.
